SHAO YE DAI(-)
Shao Ye Dai has six years of in-house counsel experience in China after passing China’s Bar Examination in 1999. He worked for one of the largest state-owned banks in China and later for one of the largest oil gas corporations in China where he participated in the first LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) project controlled by a Chinese company.
Shao was involved with all the key contracts for the project, including EPC contracts (more than USD100 million) and project syndicate financing contracts (approximately USD one billion value). Due to his impressive service, he was invited to act as legal consultant for two other LNG projects in China in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
Shao has obtained a J.D. from University of Windsor. After graduating from Windsor Law with a top academic ranking, Shao articled with one of the top Bay Street firms where he gained invaluable legal and commercial experience.
With a legal education and experience in both China and Canada, Mr. Dai has sophisticated understanding of the cultural and legal differences between the two countries and is committed to providing consultation services to Canadian clients regarding China’s law on foreign investment, international trade, arbitration, judicial system, and etc. as well as providing legal services to clients from China regarding legal matters in Canada.
